Our Mission is YOUR TURN

Not too long ago, John was 400+ pounds, the highest mark of his weight and the lowest point of his life. The weight gain diminished his self esteem and the low self esteem fed into the weight gain; it became a vicious cycle that caused John to lose hope in himself. One day, when John was struggling to breathe, he realized that he reached the point where he needed to take action and turn his health around before he loses his life.  He realized that there wasn’t a “quick fix” to his obesity, that he would need to put in the work and be adamant about making a change.

From the guidance and coaching of Brian Nguyen, Ralph Hernandez and Megan Butacan, John lost over 100+ pounds in 2 years.  In the last 5 years, John has found his true passion in using his past experience to help others reach a healthier lifestyle.  John is now certified as a Personal Trainer and Boot Camp Instructor by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  He also has a Training for Warriors (TFW) Certification which allows him to incorporate fun exciting workouts that will help achieve your goals.  John is also a nutrition coach certified through Precision Nutrition.  He considers himself a life-long learner and constantly working to improve himself so that he can help others find healthier versions of themselves.

Personally, John is still fighting that battle with his weight, but he has never given up.  His mission is to use his story and inspire those around him so that they, too, can be motivated to fight their battle. His vision is to create a safe zone for people who are struggling with weight loss to feel encouraged, included, and valued. That is why John, coach and founder of Your Turn Fitness, established since 2017 is here to help you take control of your health, to feel good, move better, and have fun while finding the best version of yourself.  It is YOUR TURN to join forces with John, so that you can work towards the best results in your fitness journey.
